Super Eagles begin training for World Cup qualifier against Rwanda

The Super Eagles held their first training session on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.

Twenty-two players took part in the session, which was led by head coach Eric Chelle. This was also the team’s first training under Chelle since his appointment in January.

The Super Eagles opened camp for the match against the Amavubi on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The three-time African champions will have two more training sessions before facing Adel Amrouche’s side.

The match will take place on Friday at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, kicking off at 5:00 pm Nigerian time.
