Dr. Joe Nwodo, politician, lawyer, statesman, for burial Saturday, June 5, 2021

Late frontline politician and leading lawyer, Dr. Joe Nwodo, Agadagbachiriuzo 1 of Ukehe, will be buried on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his country home in Ukehe, Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria.
Dr. Nwodo, the patriarch of the Nwodo family, died on March 10, 2021 in a London, United Kingdom hospital aged 77.
The burial program for the elder statesman, released by Prof Epiphany Azinge (SAN), Co-Chairman of the Burial Committee, said before his interment, there will be a funeral mass at St Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe.
Beginning from Sunday, May 30, 2021 with a Night of Tributes at the JD Leisure Center, Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama in Abuja, the elaborate program in honor of the departed former presidential aspirant on the platform of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC), is expected to be graced by political big wigs, business leaders and socio-cultural top guns, among others.
On June 1, 2021 at the Chris Hall, Amodeo Event Center, behind Elim Plaza, off Ebeano Tunnel, there will be another Night of Tributes for Dr. Nwodo, where more political and other associates of the iconic leader, as well as his relatives and friends, and associates of his siblings, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, former Governor of Enugu State and Chief John Nnia Nwodo, immediate past President General of Ohanaeze NdIgbo, would have the opportunity to pay their respects.
A valedictory Court session will also be held in his honor at the Justice I. A. Umezurike Auditorium, Enugu High Court, on Thursday, June 3 before his remains are moved to his country home, Ukehe, in Igbo-Etiti LGA of Enugu State.
Dr. Nwodo, positively, impacted the lives of many people in Nigeria and beyond, as a lawyer, politician and a natural leader. He is being mourned across Nigeria and the across the world.
