The Chairman, Ife Central Local Government Area of Osun, Hon Eluyera Elugbaju, has said that the Governor of Osun, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, would reconstruct Oja-titun market to the status of a modern market during his current first tenure.
Eluyera made the disclosure during the meeting with the new Local Government Executives of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ife Central held at Prince Felix Awofisayo’s residence Parakin Area, on Monday, in Ile-Ife.
He said that Ife has been witnessing more growth and development in terms of infrastructures including the renovation of primary healthcare centres, provision of portable water, electricity and good roads.
Eluyera commended the APC Ife Central Local Government executives and other members of the party for the success recorded during the last Governorship primary election in Osun state which was won by Gov. Oyetola.
The Chairman pledged that the Oyetola administration would provide more dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
Speaking, the APC Chairman, Ife Central Local Government, Com Goke Aramide, described the meeting as very important for the development of the party, noting that it affords them opportunity to rub minds together on the way forward for the party.
Hon Ayoola Olajolo, member, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), charged the party executives to always be loyal to the party for success in future elections.
Alhaji Ali Taofeek, Organising Secretary, APC Ife Central Local Government, commended the effort of the Chairman, Elders Council for Ife Central, Prince Felix Awofisayo for his enthusiasm for the progress of the party.
Taofeek opined that with the relentless efforts of the party leaders and Chairman, Elders Council, their candidate for the gubernatorial election, Gov Oyetola would surely win the forthcoming election by God’s grace.
Mrs. Risikat Adejumo, the Women Leader of the Ward, said that the meeting was held at the appropriate time when it was so significant, saying that the party seriously needs it now for the upliftment of its members and assured that the members will benefit.
Also, the Party Secretary, Miss Oluwaseunfunmi Adetokumbo, expressed her gratitude to God Almighty and Prince Awofisayo for his fatherly role played always to ensure that the party moved forward.
Adetokumbo said that the meeting gave the new executives the opportunity to express their minds and admonished them on the next steps to take for the progress of the party.
Prof Moses Awogbade, an APC stalwart, told newsmen that the meeting was held to find out the faulty areas during the last primary election and urged party members to remain loyal to the party chairman as well as the incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola
“After the primary, our leaders thought it right to gather us together to strategize on how to mobilise more people into the party in Ife Central in preparation for the governorship election on July 16.”
Prince Awofisayo tasked the members to remain faithful and be ready to cast their votes for Gov Oyetola during the gubernatorial election of July 16.
Awogbade thereafter thanked Prince Awofisayo for the warm reception accorded the APC local government executives of Ife Central and for his efforts to bring unity back to the party.
