Do not pray to convince God – Talk to Him By Fr. Peter Iwuala

Today, I bring you a message of hope, encouragement, and strength. In a world filled with
uncertainty, pressure, and unseen battles, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and
alone. Yet there is a truth that remains unshaken: the Lord is the strength of His people. He is not distant, nor is He indifferent. He is a saving refuge for those He has called His own – and that includes you. You are not forgotten. You are not overlooked. You are one of His anointed ones, a beneficiary of His favor and grace.

Scripture reminds us in Luke 1:37, “For nothing is impossible with God.” No situation is too broken, no circumstance too far gone, and no burden too heavy for Him to carry. These are not just comforting words; they are a divine assurance that God is actively present in every detail of your life.

Too often, we approach prayer as if we need to persuade God, believing that He is unaware of our pain or unconcerned about our struggles. We try to discover the right words, the perfect
tone, or enough faith to “convince” Him to act. But the truth is, God already
knows. He sees beyond the surface. He understands what you cannot even put into words. Prayer is not about convincing God—it is about connecting with Him.

When you come before God, come with an open heart. Lay everything bare before Him. There is no need to hide your fears, your doubts, or your questions. You may have unexplainable burdens, unseen battles, and a weight you can’t bear. In those moments, remember the truth: “Everything must respond to the Word of God.” When He speaks into your situation, what seems immovable begins to shift. What feels impossible begins to change.

There is power in God’s timing and authority. When He declares that enough is enough, circumstances align, doors open, and pathways appear where none existed before. What you have struggled to resolve in your own strength, God can transform shortly. But this
requires trust—not partial trust, but full surrender. It requires believing that God is who He says He is and that He will do what He has promised.

Only God can truly save. People may offer advice, support, or temporary solutions, but only God sees the full picture of your life. He knows the thoughts you keep to yourself, the silent tears you cry at night, the worries that keep you awake, and the questions that remain unanswered. He knows everything about your life.

You may be facing a situation that feels completely impossible. You may be feeling the burden of financial difficulties. You may feel overwhelmed by financial struggles, as if every effort is futile. Doors may appear closed, and every path you attempt to take feels blocked. You may discover yourself stuck in cycles—trying, failing, and starting over again, only to end up back where you began. It is exhausting. It is discouraging. And it is real.

Perhaps you are carrying more than you should have carried alone. The illness of a loved one may be causing you emotional pain. The loss of someone dear may have left a void that feels
impossible to fill. Family conflicts may appear irreparable. Job insecurity may create constant anxiety. The challenges of raising children, especially when they resist guidance, may leave you feeling helpless.

In all these challenges, there is an invitation—one that is simple yet powerful: do not carry it alone anymore. Choose today to release what you have been holding so tightly. Surrender it to God—not because you have given up, but because you understand you were destined to succeed. Do not carry it alone! God is not asking you to have everything figured out; He is asking you to trust Him.

Do not pray as though you need to convince Him to care. Talk to Him as you would to someone who already understands. Speak honestly. Be real. Share your fears, your frustrations, your hopes, and even your doubts. God is not intimidated by your honesty—He welcomes it.

He knows exactly what to do, even when you do not. He sees the path ahead, even when you cannot see past today. And at the right time—not necessarily your time, but the perfect time—He will move.

Only God can fix what no one else can fix. Only He can bring healing where medicine falls short, restore relationships that seem beyond repair, and open doors that no human effort can open. When God moves, He does so in ways that surpass human understanding.

He sees the struggles that others overlook. He sees the delays that frustrate you, the obstacles that seem unfair, and the repeated cycles that leave you questioning why. He sees the sickness that lingers, the prayers that feel unanswered, and the waiting that feels endless.

And yes, you may be exhausted. Waiting can drain your strength. It can test your patience and challenge your faith. But even in your weariness, there is good news: your story is not
over. Hope is on the way. Restoration is on the way. Strength is on the way. Encouragement is on the way.

What feels impossible to you is not impossible to God. Your limitations do not limit Him. Your situation does not define His power. Even now, He is working behind the scenes, aligning things in ways you cannot yet see.

Therefore, hold on. Stay firm in your faith, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. Keep trusting God, even when answers are delayed. Continue speaking with Him—not out of obligation, but from a relationship built on trust.

You are closer than you think. The finish line is not as far as it seems. When you see how everything plays out, you will know God was with you all along. Do not pray to convince God. Talk to Him. He already knows. And He is already working.

Let somebody say: Amen.
