NiDCOM Chairman congratulates ‘London Bus Aunty’ on bus stop named in her honour

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Nigerian-born nurse and social media personality, Mrs. Bemi Orojuogun, popularly known as “London Bus Aunty,” on the honour of having a London bus stop named in her recognition.

Dabiri-Erewa described the recognition as a remarkable achievement and a source of pride to Nigeria and the Nigerian diaspora, noting that Mrs. Orojuogun’s journey demonstrates how passion, authenticity and a positive representation of one’s heritage can create an impact far beyond the shores of Nigeria.

Orojuogun, who became widely known for her engaging videos featuring London’s iconic red buses, has used her platform to showcase everyday life in the city while connecting with audiences through her unique personality and love for London’s transport system.

The NiDCOM Chairman commended her for bringing joy to many people through her content and for positively representing Nigerians in the United Kingdom.

She also applauded Transport for London (TfL) for recognising Orojuogun’s contribution and celebrating her connection with the city’s transport community.
