Uzodimma hands over 30 campaign buses to Imo APC Chairmen, others, tasks Party on 100% Tinubu victory

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has charged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work towards ensuring a 100 per cent victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming election.

Uzodimma was Friday, August 21 2026, named Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. He is also the Director General of Renewed Hope Agenda Ambassadors of the Party.

At the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Convention Centre Owerri, Saturday, August 22, 2026, while handing over campaign buses to APC local government chairmen and other party officials, Uzodimma urged them to deploy the vehicles strictly for Party activities and mobilisation, a statement by Oguwike Nwachuku, Chief Press Secretary/Special Adviser Media to the Governor, said.

The Governor, who declared that “APC is Imo State and Imo State is APC,” said the Party would embark on massive sensitisation across the State, stressing that “residents had seen the impact of his administration.”

According to him, the State government’s reform and “Renewed Hope” agenda had delivered tangible achievements, leaving the Party with a strong basis to campaign for Tinubu.

“I cannot deliver the President without you. We will come together and work together, so that together we will also win 100 per cent,” Uzodimma said.

He also urged Party officials to strengthen cooperation at the Ward and local government levels, warning that “the failure of one person is the failure of the Party.”

Uzodimma highlighted improvements in healthcare, including the commissioning of a robotic medical system and expansion of health insurance coverage, as evidence of his administration’s achievements.

He appealed to Party members to mobilise voters beyond partisan lines, saying, “Let us come out en masse. Let’s vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. No sentiments.”

The Governor said the buses were intended to strengthen the Party’s grassroots campaign and ensure effective mobilisation ahead of the election.

Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Austin Onyedebelu, commended Governor Uzodimma for providing campaign buses to strengthen the Party’s grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming elections, noting that the initiative would enhance the Party’s campaign operations across the State.

He said the Governor provided 27 buses for the 27 local government Party Chairman, as well as buses for zonal chairmen, the State woman leader and the State youth leader.

According to him, the vehicles, which are fully branded, would help take the APC’s message to the grassroots and demonstrate the Party’s readiness for the elections.

He urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles strictly for Party activities and cautioned them against removing the branding.

“This is very important to us. It carries the message to the people and let them know that we are very serious to elect the next President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he said.

Onyedebelu charged Party members to work for the election of all APC candidates, from the presidency to the National and State Assemblies, stressing that no candidate should be left behind.

He called for unity and collective support for Governor Uzodimma to ensure the Party’s success.

The National Vice Chairman APC, South-East, Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, charged Party members in Imo State to use the campaign buses provided by Governor Uzodimma effectively to mobilise voters and deliver victory for the Party.

Arodiogbu had demanded corresponding commitment from members.

“The more our Governor has given to Imo State APC, we cannot tolerate any excuses,” he said.

He urged Party officials to ensure victory for APC candidates in the State and National Assembly elections, as well as the presidential election.

“Every man must deliver his booth and his ward. Don’t come and give us excuses,” Arodiogbu warned.

He commended Uzodimma for his support for the Party, describing him as instrumental to the strength of APC in Imo State.

“Without you, there will be no APC in Imo State today,” he said.
