State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick will be hosting a Broadway Series from September 2026 to June 2027. There are also season tickets available for or over 20% off single ticket prices that allow ticket holders to attend four or more of the eight shows coming to the State Theatre.
The season tickets also include “exclusive benefits including some of the best seats in the house (Broadway single tickets are not on sale until mid- to late-July), exchange your tickets for free to another date within the same show, receive half price drinks at concessions,” according to State Theatre. The base four included with the season tickets without additional add-ons include Beetlejuice, Water for Elephants, The Wiz, and Shucked.

State Theatre announced this Broadway Series to help provide New Jersey with closer and more affordable access to Broadway shows, without having to travel to New York City. For example, the cheapest tickets to attend Beetlejuice on Broadway is around $100, compared to State Theater where the current cheapest tickets cost around $50.
“I love musicals and plays but the prices on Broadway are just too much, plus it would have to be a whole day heading into the city to see one,” said Union New Jersey resident, Sandra Klein. “I will definitely have to go to one of the performances at State Theater, I am so thankful that it’s so close to home and I could go after work!”
Broadway shows are often criticized for their prices and accessibility to attend, but State Theater shoots to help New Jersey fans see musicals closer to home.
