Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has responded to criticism over his decision to attend his daughter Amarachi’s sign-out ceremony at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.
Freeze attended the ceremony alongside Habby Forex, with his arrival in the luxury sports car attracting mixed reactions from social media users.
Sharing a video of the occasion, Freeze said he decided to visit UNILAG in the Lamborghini as part of the celebration of Amarachi’s sign-out.
However, some of his followers criticised the display, with one social media user describing it as “razz”.
Responding to the comment, Freeze wrote: “E pain you say your papa no fit run am.”
Another critic questioned the significance of the appearance, asking why he was placing pressure on students.
Freeze responded that the gesture was intended as motivation rather than pressure, while taking a swipe at the critic for allegedly failing to understand the distinction.
The media personality also shared a separate video featuring himself and his son, in which he spoke about his son’s school fees.
Freeze questioned what was being taught at the school, noting that he was paying about N7 million in school fees. He also referenced popular TikToker Peller, who, according to him, did not attend school but was making his parents proud.
He subsequently asked whether his son wanted to emulate Peller and questioned whether school was necessary.
Freeze has previously spoken publicly about his experiences as a parent.
In April, he celebrated his first daughter after she completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, sharing a video from her passing-out parade with his wife.
He said parenting had not been easy but reaffirmed his love for his children.
Freeze was previously married to Opeyemi Olarinde, with whom he has two children. Their marriage ended in 2014, following allegations of infidelity and domestic violence from both sides.
He later married Benedict Elechi in a private wedding ceremony in the United Kingdom.
