Exhibition in honour of Nneoma late Chief (Mrs.) Matilda Adaocha Ibe holds in London

A historic art exhibition will hold today, Thursday, October 15, 2026, and tomorrow, Friday, October 16, 2026, in London, the United Kingdom (UK), in honour of Nneoma, late Chief (Mrs.) Matilda Adaocha Ibe (nee Ohanele), of Umuariam Obowo, Imo State, Nigeria, a good mother, a committed educationist, community leader and stateswoman.
Venue of the exhibition is the Community Room at Colindale Library, 7 Bristol Ave, London, Greater London England, NW9 4BR.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, mounted by Hon. Henry Ibe, the first son of late Chief (Mrs.) Ibe, will hold from 5pm to 7pm today, Thursday October 15, 2026.
Titled “A Tribute Through Art,” art connoisseurs will, however, be free to start viewing the works on display from 2pm today and tomorrow, till 8pm without booking. Booking is only required for the opening ceremony.
The works on display are rare and priceless pieces by Hon. Henry Ibe, a Nigerian-born artist and long-time Colindale resident, who trained under such master artists and sculptors as Professor El Anatsui at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
The exhibition, according to the seasoned painter and sculptor, has been created in memory of his mother, Matilda, who passed away earlier this year. “The exhibition is a tribute to family, resilience, and the lasting connections that inspire us,” he stressed.
All are invited to this rare art show that promises to meet and exceed the expectations of art collectors from across the UK and far beyond.
