Igwe Vincent Ilo was a transformational teacher and leader, a kind hearted and caring family man, devout Catholic and exemplary disciple of Jesus Christ who touched the lives of many, in distinct and impactful ways.
An announcement by Prince VinMartin Obiora Ilo (Son) and Hon. Emeka Mbadugha (Palace Secretary) said that Igwe Vincent Ilo, an Old Boy of the prestigious St Charles College Onitsha and an Alumni of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, spent over thirty six years teaching in Communities in Enugu State, retiring in I987 as a Supervisor of Schools.
In retirement, Igwe Vincent Ilo dedicated himself to the service of humanity and the Catholic Church, occupying many positions including serving as the Secretary of the Old Enugu Diocesan Pastoral Council for six years.
On the 26th March, 2006 Igwe Vincent Ilo was crowned the Igwe of Adu Achi and took the royal title of Ohabuenyi 1 and stayed on the throne for ten eventful years that brought unprecedented development to Adu Achi.
