Reverend Sister Chinwe Ekeoma celebrates 40 years of Profession










Reverend Sister Chinwe Caro Ekeoma on December 27, 2019, celebrated 40 years of her Profession with a Holy Mass and a reception attended by relatives, Clergy, friends, colleagues and well wishers from far and near.
The first daughter and fourth child of Mr. Fidelis and Mrs. Veronica Ekeoma (both of blessed memory), Rev. Sr. Ekeoma is a native of Umunnebi, Umuariam in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.
Rev. Sr. Chinwe Ekeoma, who holds a Master of Arts, M.A, degree in English, a Bachelor of Arts, B.A, degree in English and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, PGDE, started off her journey to service in the Vineyard of the Lord after her secondary education.
She was admitted into the Congregation of Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy where she passed through various stages of Religious formation and took her vows or made her first Religious Profession on May 6, 1979.
She did her Perpetual Profession on September 2, 1989 and with that became a full fledged member of her Congregation.
She has served the Lord through her Order and the Church in different capacities and in different parts of Nigeria and beyond, including as Regional Superior, Vicar General, Zonal Superior, Zonal Bursar and Education Secretary.
An educationist and author, Rev. Sr. Ekeoma has to her credit, books such as A Guide to Success in Literature-In-English (First and Second Editions); A Guide to Success in Poetry; DMMM Charism of Mercy in Practice; Modernism And New Evangelization; Jealousy: The Great Societal Scourge; Mercy: The Christian Faith in Practice; A Journey Through The Mass (The Pillar of Catholic Spirituality) and Reviving the Spirit of Religious Community.
The Holy Mass to celebrate four decades of her dedicated service to God took place at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Umuariam Obowo and was followed by a reception.
