He also directed the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, Sontoye Wakama, to visit the scene of the blast in Adamawa State, to condole with families of the deceased and to ensure that those that sustained injuries from the explosion receive prompt medical attention.
The IG, on Friday in Abuja, speaking through the Force Public Relations Officer, Bisi Kolawole, commiserated with the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.
He urged the citizens not to panic “as the Nigeria Police High Command has directed adequate security surveillance on places where Improvised Explosive Devices recovered are kept and to ensure that such incident does not occur anywhere across the country.”
Arase called on members of the public to go about their normal businesses without fear as all hands were on deck to ensure lives and property and continually secured.
