Africa Super League: Wydad Casablanca depart Morocco for Enyimba clash in Nigeria

Wydad Casablanca of Morocco on Friday, October 20, 2023 announced their departure enroute Nigeria where they are scheduled to face Enyimba FC in an Africa Super League quarter-final first leg clash.

Wydad Casablanca and Enyimba FC will lock horns on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo by 6pm.

Former African Champions Wydad announced their departure on the social media on Friday, October 20.

“United and Prepared for Our Journey to Nigeria,” the Red Castle wrote on their X handle.

The maiden edition of the Africa Super League will kicked-off on Friday (yesterday) with Simba of Tanzania hosting Egypt’s Al Ahly at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

In the other quarter-final matches, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will take on Petro Athletico of Angola, while Esperance of Tunisia will do battle with Congo Democratic Republic side TP Mazembe.
