Akeredolu appoints Amotekun Commander Special Adviser

Gov. Akeredolu of Ondo State, Chairman, Southern Governors’ Forum

Akure, Jan. 18, 2022

Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, has appointed Commander of the State Security Network (Amotekun Corps), Chief Adetunji Adeleye, his Special Adviser on Security Matters.

This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen by Mr. Richard Olatunde, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Tuesday in Akure.

According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect, while he will continue to function as the Commander of the Ondo State Security Network (Amotekun Corps).

“The appointment is part of the efforts of the governor to further strengthen the security arrangement and improve the working relationship between government and security agencies in the state,” the statement read.

Gov. Akeredolu congratulated the new appointee while charging him to redouble his efforts in the fight against crime and criminalities in the state.
