Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, shared his sentiments and aspirations during the State-organized Thanksgiving Service at the International Worship Centre in Uyo on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Governor Eno revealed his sense of partial fulfillment upon witnessing the organic crowd participating in worship within the worship center, which was constructed and commissioned by the former Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
Expressing his joy, Governor Eno disclosed that he initially opposed the idea of inviting people to the event but was pleased to see the significant turnout for the worship.
He further highlighted his satisfaction at the presence of the immediate past Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, who had cut short his international trip to attend the solemn assembly.
The governor said, “I am partially fulfilled today to see this organic crowd come out to worship God on their own accord. When the Secretary to the State government asked that we invite people for the event I opposed it, and I am happy to see this number come out to worship God. I am also happy that the immediate past Governor of the state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel is physically present here. He cut short his international trip to attend the solemn assembly. I know God answers prayers and one day he will answer that one prayer point that has remained my heart’s desire.”
In a goodwill message, the Minister of Petroleum Resources (Gas), Obong Emem Ekperikpe Ekpo, assured Governor Umo Eno of the total support of Akwa Ibom politicians for the success of his administration.
Ekpo conveyed warm regards from the President of the Federal Republic and the Senate President, affirming the commitment of all to work for the success of the Governor’s administration.
