Akwa Ibom State Governor Pst. Umo Eno makes first set of appointments; Appreciates supporters

– Enobong Uwah, Ekerrete Udoh, Anietie Usen, two others get kick-start new Government.

Following his inauguration as Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Monday May 29, Pst. Umo Eno has announced his first set of appointments to kickstart the administration.

Pst. Eno, in a press statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Government House, Dr Ini Adiakpan, announced five new appointees, Prince Enobong Uwah, Mr. Ekerette Udo, Mr. Anietie Usen, Mr. Otobong Idiong and Dr (Mrs.) Uduakobong Inam.

The statement announcing the appointments said:

“The Governor of Akwa Ibom State Pastor Umo Eno has approved the following appointments with immediate effect

1. Prince Enobong Uwah – Secretary to State Government

2. Mr. Ekerette Udo – Chief Press Secretary

3. Mr. Anietie Usen – Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity

4. Mr. Otobong Edem Idiong – Chief of Protocol

5. Dr (Mrs.) Uduakobong Inam – Economic Adviser

Please accord them necessary support to enable them discharge their duties creditably.

In a related development, the Governor shared on his official social media handles a message of appreciation to the people who made his election and subsequent inauguration a success.

He wrote ” Yesterday was a day filled with incredible energy and unity as my wife and I climbed onto the truck, drenched in sweat, to wave at the amazing crowd gathered in the stadium. It was an unforgettable experience that brought us closer to the people we are honored to serve.

“As we stood there, looking out at the sea of smiling faces, we felt an overwhelming sense of connection. We realized that our journey is intertwined with the hopes and dreams of every individual present. It was a powerful reminder of why we chose to dedicate ourselves to public service in the first place.

“We are immensely grateful for the love and support shown by each and every person in that stadium. Your enthusiasm and unwavering belief in us fuel our determination to work tirelessly for the betterment of our community. Your presence uplifted our spirits and reinforced our commitment to creating a brighter future for all.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who made this incredible moment possible. Your trust and encouragement mean the world to us. Together, we will build a united and prosperous community, one step at a time. ” Governor Umo Eno concluded.
