ANPA, New Jersey Chapter rolls out Red Carpet; Holds Biennial Fundraising Gala Saturday, September 24

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, all roads will lead to Doubletree Newark Airport Hotel, 128 Frontage Road, Newark, New Jersey 07114, USA.

The occasion will be the first post COVID-19 Biennial Fundraising Gala of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA), New Jersey Chapter.

The Gala, starting at 7:00PM, is for Medical Missions to Nigeria and it promises to exceed the expectations of all ANPA members and their friends and associates who will be part of the highly anticipated event.

According to the Organizing Committee Chair, Dr. Adaeze Ibeabuchi, the theme of the program will center on how technology can be used to improve collaboration among Nigerian Physicians back home in Nigeria and abroad, with the aim of facilitating better healthcare delivery in the home country.

A seasoned practitioner, Dr. Marriot Amadi, will be the Key Speaker at the event which, according to Dr. Ibeabuchi, will be filled with entertainment and fun activities.

The Outreach Coordinator and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the body, Dr. Adanze Aguwa, is also upbeat about the program the goal of which is to raise funds to provide desparately needed quality medicare for the many who do not have access to it in Nigeria.

There will be a Cocktail Hour for Meet & Greet before the sumptuous Buffet style Dinner that will bring ANPA members, friends and associates together after the COVID-19 forced separation.

Dr. Ibeabuchi also assured that the dance segment of the Gala will be superlative, including music supplied by a special saxophonist. Tickets are already on sale as well as reservations at Doubletree Newark Airport Hotel, New Jersey, which are available at discounted rates.

ANPA represents the professional interests of over 7,000 “physicians, dentists and allied health professionals of Nigerian birth, ethnicity or empathy in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean ( and) provides a platform for medical and scientific dialogue on issues of health within North America, the Caribbean, and Africa.”

The New Jersey Chapter is one of the most vibrant Chapters of ANPA and has Dr. Onuora Ibeabuchi as its Chair, Dr. Oluchi Iberi as Chapter Coordinator and Dr. Eniola Ogunmefun as Chair Elect.
