The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC )Chief John Odigie Oyegun has lost his unit to the opposition party Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The APC had 69 votes cast while the PDP has 78 votes cast.

Oyegun voted in Ward 2, unit 2 in Oredo local government area of the state, same unit as that of the wife of the PDP governorship candidate Dr. Idia Ize-Iyamu

Chief Oyegun, who had earlier cast his vote at about 10.50am, while speaking with journalists said the turnout was pleasant and about the best.

On the allegation that parties were sharing money to induce voters, he said “when I looked at the place, I did not see how anyone can give out money to be voted for. Please if they are sharing money, please tell me the place and I will go and take my own share”.
