The move, however, has generated widespread criticism among Lagosians and civil society organizations who have staged protests to the House asking the lawmakers to rescind the decision.
Speaking on Saturday, Lagos State APC Chairman, Alh. Tunde Balogun, said leaders of the party are currently working out ways to resolve the issue as there is a need for good working relationship between the two arms of government.
He said “On the issue between the governor and the House of Assembly, we are working towards settlement.
“We believe there must be mutual cooperation between the legislature and the Executive. As a party, we are working towards a workable relationship between the two bodies,” he said.
