Asisat Oshoala clocks 29, receives Birthday wishes from NFF, CAF, FIFA

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), CAF and FIFA have celebrated the 29th Birthday of Asisat Oshoala, who is undoubtedly, Africa’s most successful female footballer.

Oshoala, born on 9th October 1994, has won the UEFA Women’s Champions League, Spanish Feminine League title, Africa Women’s Cup of Nations titles in a hugely successful career.

On her 29th Birthday, the football world shared lovely messages in celebration.

The NFF sent their greetings via their X handle with the caption: “Happy birthday to @NGSuper_Falcons forward, 5 time Africa Women’s Player of the Year, @AsisatOshoala. All the best today and always.”

World Football Governing Body – FIFA decided to celebrate Oshoala @29 by posting photos of her three goals at the three World Cups she has participated in with the caption: “Asisat Oshoala scoring at the #FIFAWWC.”

For her Spanish club, FC Barcelona, the message read on their women’s X handle: “Oshoala@GLS_Spain .”

Asisat Oshoala is the reigning African Player of the Year and has won the award a record five times.

The forward is among the nominees for the 2023 Balloon D’Or, her second time on the exclusive list that includes the World’s most outstanding female players.
