Bauchi pays compensation to State University land owners in Jama’are

Bauchi state government  has disbursed over N20 million to owners of the land acquired  for the construction of the  Faculty of Agriculture of the State University in Jama’are.‎

 Head of Information and Public Relations of the university, Malam Isa Suleman disclosed this in a statement.
He said chairman of Land Acquisition and Payment committee of the university, Alhaji Mahmud Garba conducted the payment to the beneficiaries at Jama’are local government secretariat.
The statement quoted Garba who is also the acting Registrar of the university, as commending the land owners, Jama’are Emirate Council as well as Jama’are local government council  for their patience and support to the university.
Speaking at the Palace of the Emir of Jama’are, chairman of the committee thanked the Emir on behalf of the management of the university for his support to the institution.
Responding, the Emir, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Wabi, expressed appreciation to the state government for redeeming its pledge and assured the university of the continued support of the people of the area at all times.
