CAF Confederation Cup: Tanzanian Club Young Africans arrive Nigeria for Rivers United

Tanzanian Club, Young Africans, on Friday arrived Nigeria ahead of their TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup tie against Rivers United FC of Nigeria.

The match is the first-leg of this season’s quarter-final. Rivers United FC are hosts at their adopted home ground, the iconic Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Kickoff time is 2pm

To watch the continental showdown, fans are expected to purchase tickets, sold at 200/500 naira for popular and VIP stand respectively.

To reach the last-8, Nigeria’s only surviving representative on the continent, Rivers United FC, finished second in the group stage.

The Nigeria Premier Football League Champions were only bettered by Ivorien club ASEC Mimosas in the group stage.

Against Young Africans, Rivers United FC will be targeting a healthy first leg win in Uyo and hope to finish the job when they travel to Tanzania for the return leg. Stanley Eguma’s men will miss the services of combative Midfielder, Maurice Chukwu, who is suspended for the clash.
