Nigerian skit maker and content creator Carter Efe has credited Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, with helping him make the biggest amount of money of his life during a livestream.
Carter made the disclosure while comparing Davido’s support with that of other people, whom he suggested were unwilling to share their success or opportunities with others.
According to the content creator, Davido’s participation in one of his livestreams resulted in significant financial gains and helped him experience a major turnaround overnight.
“Davido made me the biggest money of my life on a stream in one night. I became a big boy overnight, even when my ex was trying to come back,” Carter said.
He also criticised people whom he accused of keeping their success to themselves rather than helping others.
“The rest people wetin them dey do? They don’t want to share their glory, they are keeping their glory, glory that you will die and leave,” he said.
Davido’s contribution to Carter’s streaming career dates back to December 2025, when the singer joined the content creator on a Twitch livestream.
The stream attracted more than 80,000 concurrent viewers and reportedly helped Carter gain more than 139,000 followers in a single night.
The livestream also saw Carter surpass 20,000 subscribers and become the most-followed African streamer on Twitch at the time.
Carter’s latest comments highlight the financial and audience impact he associates with Davido’s participation in the livestream, while expressing his appreciation for the singer’s support.
