Two members of the Law Class of 1987 of the then Imo State University (now Abia State University), Sonny Wogu and Ken Ahia, who were recently elevated to Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SAN, have become the toast of their Classmates from all over the world.
The two joined the select group of Silks (SANs) on September 24, 2018, the first from their Class to be so promoted and apart from the fact that some of their classmates travelled from far and near to be part of the ceremony, the Class’ whatsapp group has been abuzz with messages congratulating the duo, wishing them well and praying for more of such promotions for other members of the Class.
For Sonny, it was triple celebration as he not only celebrated the conferment of SAN on him but also celebrated 25 years of marriage and 25 years of serving in the Lord’s vineyard as a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, House of Grace, Port Harcourt.
One of the classmates wrote on the Class’ whatsapp group: “Congrats our Silks, it is something to thank God for, more are coming, we expect more blessings from God for our siblings.”
Another wrote: “Congratulations to all the new silks! May your wigs never grow old! Praying for more in the family! Blessings all!
From Texas, United States, Endy Oscar Echefu wrote: “Congratulations to Sonny and Ken, what a joy seeing our colleagues honored. Kudos to you, Angus and Co, for representing our class (at the conferment ceremony). Glad to see that NgoziChukwu Azu-Domike Akubuike attended from Minnesota. Seeing Chioma Wogu for the first time in almost 17years, OffiMo, Sly B,( man I like your distinctive and Professorial gray hair), Farouk Ikpa ( that suit is expensively shining), Angus (the Boss), Eze Onyekpere ( you should be next in line considering your contributions to human rights enforcement). God’s blessings to you all. I am Endy Echefu and I approve of this message”.
