Cleric invokes God’s blessings on Osinbajo for his contributions to nation building

The Vicar of the All Saints Church, Anglican Communion, Yaba, Lagos, Ven. Femi Fatile, has prayed for God’s blessings beyond human imagination for Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo.
The cleric offered this prayer at a Service of Songs for late Pa Michael Taiwo, a renowned educationist and philanthropist on Wednesday in Lagos.
Fatile, in his exhortation, prayed God to bless the vice -president for his many sacrifices and contributions to the progress and development of Nigeria.
“For all your efforts, sacrifice and all that you have put in, all that you have done for the development of this country, beyond your imagination, the Lord shall reward you, in the name of Jesus Christ,” he said.
In his remarks, Osinbajo extolled the qualities of late Taiwo, praising his legacy, especially service to his immediate community and the nation at large.
 “I thank God for the life of our father and grandfather, and we have heard so much about him already today.
“I think that one of the most important things we have heard, and we know about him was how he gave so much for the poor and those who needed help, for church, civil society in Ibefun as well as in Lagos here, and all over Nigeria.”
Referring to his career in the public service, Osinbajo said that the deof the Taiwo marked the passing of an era.
He said the deceased was a certain type of public servant who after so many years at the Nigeria Ports Authority, no one could find anything wrong against him.
The vice-president said that the deceased had an unblemished career, then went to the private sector and did so well.
He said: “That generation of public servants and generation of Nigerians are passing by and I pray that we, who are coming behind will learn the lessons that they have laid down so well.”
Osinbajo  prayed for the the family that the Almighty God would bless the memory of late Taiwo to the Glory of God in Jesus Mighty name.
Earlier on arrival at the deceased’s Ikoyi, Lagos, residence, the vice-president signed the condolence register.
“We thank the Lord for the life and greatness of his son, Pa Taiwo.
“We are extremely proud of his excellent legacy and pray that the Lord will bless his memory always,” he said.
Other dignitaries at the service were Justices of the Supreme Court, Justice Olufunlola Adekeye and Justice Morenikeji Ogunwumiju.
Justice Jimi Bada and Justice Olasumbo Goodluck, both of the Court of Appeal, among others, were also present.
