Gunmen in Bayelsa state have released the kidnapped mother of Nigeria’s Under 23 Coach, Samson Siasia who was abducted two weeks ago from her Odoni community.
Madam Beauty Siasia is also the mother of Moses Siasia, a gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Movement PDM.
Police authorities in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa state, who confirmed her release said she was abducted on November 16, 2015 and abandoned by her abductors along the East West Road at about 0130hrs on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Spokesman, Bayelsa state Police Command, Butswat Asinim said she regained her freedom due to hot pursuit by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Police Command.
Police authorities said that she is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family. The Police has intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects.
Mrs. Beauty Siasia, aged 72, was whisked away from her residence at Odoni, in Sagbama local government Area by as yet unidentified gunmen.
