Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a private wedding ceremony in Portugal.
The 41-year-old Portuguese forward tied the knot with Rodríguez in a civil ceremony on August 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal, according to a report by People.
The ceremony was described as a “private and intimate moment” and was attended by their five children.
After the wedding, Ronaldo shared a photo of their hands showing their wedding rings. He captioned the post, “C ❤️ G.”
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together since 2017 and have built a family together.
The wedding came one year after Rodríguez, 32, announced their engagement in August 2025. She shared a photo of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, showing off her large oval-shaped diamond ring.
“Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” she wrote at the time.
The couple have five children: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana, daughter Bella and Ronaldo’s 16-year-old son, Cristiano Jr., from a previous relationship.
The family suffered a heartbreaking loss in April 2022 when the couple announced the death of Bella’s newborn twin brother, Ángel.
Ronaldo first met Rodríguez in 2017 when she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. The pair made their first red-carpet appearance together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Zurich in January 2017.
By May of the same year, Ronaldo made their relationship official on Instagram by sharing a photo of himself with Rodríguez.
In Rodríguez’s 2022 Netflix series, I Am Georgina, Ronaldo spoke about the early days of their relationship.
The football star said he found Rodríguez a “very interesting girl” who was much more mature for her age, although he did not initially expect their relationship to last.
After years together, the couple have now officially become husband and wife.
