Dr. Daniel Olukoya, G. O Mountain of Fire & Miracles’ Mathematics teacher, Pa Olofinro, passes on at 75
Celebrated Mathematics and Physics teacher, Pa Samuel Ayodele Olofinro, who taught the highly respected General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Ministry, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, Mathematics at the famous Methodist Boys High School, Lagos, Nigeria, has passed on to glory.
Pa Olofinro, an acclaimed Christian leader, made his glorious exit on August 4, 2021 at the age of 75 and is being mourned by family, friends and associates across the world.
A strong member of the MFM and a graduate of Mathematics from the University of Ibadan, Pa Olofinro, an educator per excellence, taught Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics in several frontline schools in the old Western Region, including at the Methodist Boys High School and St. Finbarrs College Lagos.
He positively impacted the lives of many of the great people of today and is fondly and reverently remembered by those he touched directly and others who came in contact with him as he journeyed through life.
His life of service and reverence to God has thankfully been rewarded with children, grandchildren and siblings who are God fearing and who are making positive contributions to the development of mankind across the world.

The late Pa Samuel Ayodele Olofinro was born into the Christian family of late Chief Daniel Adebiyi and Madam Rebecca Olorunyomi Olofinro on July 9, 1946 @ Orin Ekiti Nigeria. He was baptized and confirmed @ Methodist Church, Orin Ekiti Nigeria.
He had his Elementary education @ Methodist Primary School Orin Ekiti before proceeding to Ifaki Grammar School (1953 – 1964). Pa Olofinro attended then Western State Government School of Agriculture, Nigeria for a professional training in agriculture (1965 – 1966) and then worked briefly with the Ministry of Agriculture as an Agricultural Assistant in 1967.
He obtained a B Sc in Mathematics/Physics from University of Ibadan in 1971 with scholarship from Methodist Church Nigeria and was employed under the school system of Methodist Church Nigeria. His employment was transferred to the Lagos state government after the missionary school system was transferred to the Public service in Nigeria.
Pa Olofinro was married to Late Elder Funmilayo Olofinro and their marriage was blessed with children and grandchildren. Pa Ayodele Olofinro was an educator and served as Mathematics teacher, Further Mathematics teacher and Physics teacher for many years. He was also a Vice Principal and Principal @ St Finbarr’s College, Hope High School and Igbosere High School in Lagos Nigeria to mention a few. Pa Olofinro was the Mathematics teacher of Dr Daniel Olukoya (G.O of Mountain of Fire and Miracles) @ Methodist Boys’ High School Lagos Nigeria, whom he enjoyed a good relationship with in his life time.
He was a teacher par excellence, mentor to many, father figure, community leader and a dedicated Christian in his life time. He was a man of integrity and high Christian morals who believed in Godliness with contentment. He served in the public service for 35 years and retired in 2006 as a Deputy Director in the public service of Lagos State government after which he relocated to Ibadan in Nigeria.
Pa Olofinro gave his life to Jesus in the early 90s and became a member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry in Nigeria. He was very active in House Fellowship and community service in his life time.
Pa Olofinro bade the world farewell on August 4, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 75. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, his siblings and other loved ones.
