Economic challenges: Gov. Ugwuanyi prays for the nation; Receives Pastor Kumuyi

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has offered special prayers for God’s intervention over the present economic and social challenges the country is passing through, asking for the wisdom, power and courage to continue to discharge his responsibilities effectively.

Governor Ugwuanyi spoke while receiving the Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, worldwide, Pastor William F. Kumuyi and his entourage who were at the Government House, Enugu, on a courtesy visit to inform him of the Ministry’s Leadership conference holding in the state.

The governor stated that the conference was an opportunity to re-present to God, the challenges facing the country under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and Enugu State under his humble leadership.

While urging members of the Ministry to continue to remember Enugu State and the nation in general in prayers, Governor Ugwuanyi who reaffirmed his belief in the miracle of five loaves and two fish, expressed optimism that “miracles will begin to happen at the end of your stay here.”

The governor emphasized that God is the source of the position he holds, adding that with the prayers of the Ministry and that of the people of the state, his administration will surely succeed.

“God our Father, all authority comes from you and you give leaders wisdom with which to govern your people. You also strengthen them with power and courage. Lord I ask for the wisdom, power and courage to be able to execute this office.

“All the challenges facing us, both as a state and as a nation, are known to you and we firmly believe that you will see us through, for you are our stronghold and without you we can do nothing”, Governor Ugwuanyi prayed.

Earlier in his address, Pastor Kumuyi appreciated the governor for receiving them at the Government House, Enugu in spite of his tight schedule.

The founder told the governor that he and his entourage were in Enugu state for a pastoral visit which would enable the Ministry transmit God’s messages to the rest of Africa and other parts of the world. He expressed delight over the governor’s development initiatives, stressing that “Enugu is making progress beyond the past administrations”.
