Eid-El-Kabir: Police ban motorcycle race in Gombe 

The Police in Gombe has banned motorcycle race and reckless driving by youths popularly known as ‘yan ud’ during the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebrations.
A release issued to the press by the Command’s Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), (SP) Obed Mary Malum said organizers of such unapproved activities during Sallah celebrations should be ready to bear the consequences of any negative fallout before, during and after the celebrations.
She called on the people of Gombe State not to hesitate to report to the Police or nearest security agency where they notice any suspicious person or activities using the following numbers: 08150567771, 07053792577.
According to the statement, the State Commissioner of Police, Bello Makwashi, assures all peace loving people of Gombe State of it’s determined resolve for a better service delivery in the performance of it’s constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property as well as maintenance of law and order.
