Ekiti PDP challenges Falegan to name election contractors

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State has challenged a former Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank, Chief Dele Falegan to name the election contractors that he said were responsible for the poor financial situation the government of Ekiti State has found itself.
In a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of Ekiti State Chapter of the PDP, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the party said that Chief Falegan should be elderly enough to come out with evidence of the allegations he raised in his statement to the press.
“We first thought the octogenarian was quoted out of context but waiting for some days without denial of the statement indicated that the former banker has really thrown caution and wisdom to the wind; this kind of statement could have been taken as a mistake but coming for a supposed financial expert is frustratedly unfortunate”
“One would expect an old man like Chief Falegan to be smarter in thinking by doing a thorough verification and mental regig before talking so that he would not subject himself to multiple embarrassment from the public and his age group who might by such his poor judgement consider him insane.”
The PDP mouthpiece stressed that for an old man of this calibre to be raising frivolous allegations and non existing election contract as reason for the economic meltdown in Ekiti and delay in payment of salary then his mental stability has come to questioning.
“The economic situation in Nigeria, fall in allocations to the states from the Federal Government and the unreasonable huge debts left behind by the APC led government of Dr Kayode Fayemi are open facts militating against the early payment of salaries in the state as far as we are concerned so we don’t know where Chief Falegan got his own information because the poor allocations and its attendant problems are not peculiar to Ekiti State alone.”
“We don’t know how much Falegan shared from the wasteful N25 Billion Naira obtained by the Fayemi government that could turn the brain of a once vibrant brain to a dirty rag but we still suspect that the statement was issued without knowledge or consent because a man of integrity which we know him for will not soil his name especially for a failed APC government of Dr Kayode Fayemi.”
PDP however adviced Chief Falegan to always cross check statements made in his especially by those who are looking for credibility which they have thrown into an heavy torrent of river because of bad policies and arrogance.
