Elder Sophia Faniyan, Pst. (Dr.) Toyin Laoye’s Mom, celebrated in US at 90

Elder (Mrs.) Sophia Mojisola Faniyan, the mother of Pastor (Dr.) Toyin Laoye, the Pastor-in-Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Region 15, The Americas, Dominion Cathedral, Orange, New Jersey, United States of America (USA), turned 90 on March 24, 2023.

A landmark event, Madam Faniyan was given a befitting birthday treat at her residence by brethren of the Church and other well-wishers, and on Sunday, March 26, 2023, there was a well-attended Thanksgiving Celebration Service for the nonagenarian at RCCG Dominion Cathedral, Orange, New Jersey, USA.

Pastor (Dr.) Laoye led her siblings, their children, grandchildren and other well-wishers to celebrate the good mother, grandmother and great grandmother who went through thick and thin to give her children good education and a proper start in life.

Pastors-in-charge of Provinces in the Region and from beyond as well as other senior Pastors and Ministers of the Gospel graced the colorful event that witnessed glowing testimonies of the highly impactful life that Mummy Faniyan has lived and continues to live, including her services in the Welfare and Evangelism Departments of the Church as well as the frontline roles she has played in the Elders’ Fellowship of RCCG Dominion Cathedral.

It was, indeed, a memorable celebration for a distinguished Matriarch that has, in every way possible, paid her dues.
