The Super Eagles captain has been queried for speaking out against the choice of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium for last Saturday’s game against Chad

Nigeria captain Vincent Enyeama has been also queried by the NFF for speaking out against the use of Kaduna as host city for last weekend’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against Chad.

Enyeama won his 101st cap for Nigeria as they won 2-0 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

Many newspapers have reported that the Lille captain tore up the query letter in front of officials while damning all consequences.

However, Demola Olajire, NFF head of media, refused to address the issue when Goal reached out to him.

Instead, Olajire claimed it was an administrative issue which the media was not supposed to be privy to.

Enyeama reportedly tore up the letter asking him to explain the statement he made to media ahead of the game about security fears in Kaduna, a city that has witnessed attacks from the terrorist Boko Haram group in the past.

The NFF had moved to swiftly downplay the statement by issuing a release which quoted president Amaju Pinnick claiming that Kaduna “has always been a perfect ground for all National Teams and a city in love with football.”

Olajire told Goal that Enyeama has sent in a letter in response to the charges.

In the same vein, media reports also say coach Stephen Keshi has been queried for putting non-league player Gabriel Okechukwu on the bench in Saturday’s game.

The Water FC of Abuja striker was handed the highly revered number 10 jersey.
