First millionaire emerges in ‘Indomie Flash & Win Promo’

The first set of winners in the ongoing Indomie Flash & Win National Consumer Promo which started about a month ago has emerged.

The winners comprising of the 1 million naira lucky winner and several winners of 100, 000 naira were presented with their cheques at a ceremony at the company’s head office in Surulere, Lagos.

The event had in attendance members of the media as well as relevant regulatory agencies.

Speaking to journalists during the cheque presentation ceremony, Brand Manager Indomie, Mr. Amber Yadav, stated that Indomie strongly believes in giving back to its numerous consumers.

He said: “As a company, Indomie believes in giving back to society. The rationale for the promo is to celebrate with consumers. We want to give them a chance to win something substantial. It gives us joy to be able to give back to our loyal consumers. So far, we’ve had over half a million participants. We have also given out airtime recharge to over 50, 000 consumers.”

Explaining the promo mechanics, Amber stated that consumers are required to buy Indomie 120g Super pack where a unique number can be found printed on the seasoning sachet inside the pack. Participants are further required to flash the unique number after which their mobile phone number would be registered to take part in the daily and monthly raffle draws where they stand a chance to win N100, 000 and N1 million, respectively.

In his remarks, Manager Public Relations/Events Dufil Prima Foods, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju reinstated the company’s commitment to continue to reward and give back to its loyal consumers which he said will continue to build a lasting brand affinity and engender deeper connection between the brand and the consumers.

According to him, “We have gathered various distinguished members of the press media to witness the transparency of the whole exercise and also the fulfilment of our promises to loyal consumers of our brand. We believe strongly that offers like this can only reinforce Indomie’s commitment to its teeming consumers’’.

Affirming the authenticity of the promo, Senior Public Relations Officer, Consumer Protection Council, Lagos Office, Mr. Nicholas Utsalo, confirmed that Dufil Prima foods Plc, adhered strictly to all its regulations. He commended the company for displaying a high sense of integrity and transparency during the course of the promo.

Lucky winner of the 1 million naira cash prize, Mr. Sheriff Ayinde Salihu, an engineer from Nassarawa State, couldn’t contain his excitement and joy during the ceremony. He said, “Words can’t express how I feel right now. It’s like a dream. The Indomie pack which won me this 1 million naira was bought from a supermarket on credit. I am yet to even pay for it. When I got the call that I had won, I doubted it. I assumed it was a fraudulent call. After series of calls I was asked to come to Lagos. When I arrived in Lagos, I was still in doubt. It sounded too good to be true. But I am glad today that it is indeed true. My joy knows no bounds. I am very grateful to Indomie.”

Mrs Lasisi Dada, Miss Seun Taiwo from Lagos State, Mr Tijani Ahmed and Mr Akintunde Yusuf from Ogun State were also presented with N100, 000 cheques.
