Flag off of enrollment for Nigerian Federal Credit Union, USA takes place in US Embassy


Officials of the Embassy were fully represented and spoke glowingly of the project that is meant to primarily service the Nigerian Community in the United States of America, US.
The project is being promoted by the National Association of Nigerians in the USA (NANUSA), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) put together to facilitate the formation of the Credit Union.
The Flag Off drew Nigerians, largely from Washington DC and Maryland, who came forward, enthusiastically, to engage in the formation processes leading to the Charter of the proposed Community Bank.
Dr. Remi Duyile, the Financial Secretary of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the project, who delivered the Opening Remarks on behalf of the Committee, spoke about the vision and the mission of the Community based project for Nigerians and gave a brief rundown of the activities of the Committee since it was inaugurated for the project.
She concluded with a call on Nigerians to join in the efforts being made to actualize the Credit Union, stressing that all must ensure that they participate in the Mobilization of all Nigerians in the US for the enrollment process, which is a major step required to enable the project receive the final approval from the US regulatory authority.
The enrollment process is going on at different levels, in higher institutions of learning among students, in Churches and at different socio-cultural gatherings of Nigerians, and nationals can also enroll online at http://nanusa.org/home/member.php
