In what may signal further division within the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,  members of the former new Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, within the party have met and “constituted committees on various issues especially on how to rescue Nigeria from economic, social, political and especially security challenges.”

A statement by Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, Chairman, former new PDP, said that their meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018, attended by many of their members, including Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara and Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwa, followed a meeting with the leadership of the APC, which invited them to discuss their grievances and expectations of the party and government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
