Former Vice President Osinbajo pays tribute to late Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu

Immediate past Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), has described late Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as “a great patriot and a thoroughly decent, thoughtful individual.”

Professor Osinbajo, in a tribute to the former Governor of the old Abia State, said that Dr. Onu’s “continuous stream of innovative ideas, passion for enhancing productivity, and infectious zeal for a great nation will be sorely missed.”

Dr. Onu served as Minister in the same government of ex President Muhammadu Buhari in which Professor Osinbajo was Vice President, and the former Vice President ran for the presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside Dr. Onu, the incumbent President, Chief Bola Tinubu and others.

Professor Osinbajo said concerning Onu: “We thank God for such an incredibly significant life and pray that the Almighty God will comfort his family and all of us who mark his passing. May his memory remain blessed. Amen.”
