Golden Eaglets’ star, Kelechi Nwakali wants Arsenal transfer in January

Chelsea target Kelechi Nwakali says he prefers a transfer to Arsenal – because the Gunners play much better football.

Nwakali has been linked with both Premier League sides and also had a trial at Manchester City after sparkling for Nigeria at the Under-17 World Cup.

He ended up winning the Most Valuable Player award and captained his country to victory, and a transfer to Europe is now on the cards.

Chelsea were believed to be the front runners for his signature, but Nwakali says he’d prefer to sign for Arsenal as they play better football.

‘I would love to play for Arsenal,’ he told the Nigerian media.

‘They are their Premier League club I will like to play for them because they play the best football in the world.’

Nwakali is expected to finalise a move in the January transfer window.
