Gov. Emmanuel inspects on-going swimming pool project at Uyo Township Stadium  

Ahead of the upcoming Biennial Police Games 2022 scheduled for Akwa Ibom State, Governor Udom Emmanuel has carried out an on- the-spot assessment of the on-going construction of Olympic-Size Swimming Pool Project within the remodelled Uyo Township Stadium.

Conducted round the magnificent Ultra-modern Swimming Pool Project by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Sir Monday Ebong Uko, the Governor expressed satisfaction at the pace of work execution, restating the determination of his administration to complete the project in a record time.

The Olympic-size Swimming pool project was initiated by the Akwa Ibom State Government in October and work progress stands at 75% with the upcoming Police games a target for the project.

Mfon Ekpa, one of the workers at the site explained that they have worked really hard to get the project to its current level due to the on-site supervision by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports.

In a related development, Governor Emmanuel also stopped over at the International Worship Center to inspect work on the project.

The Governor used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment to completing all ongoing projects in the state.
