Governor Ugwuanyi assures media of continuous cordial relationship

Governor Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has affirmed the determination of his administration to maintain the existing cordial relationship with the Press in the state to enhance information gathering and dissemination of government policies and programmes.

The governor noted that his administration would endeavour to strengthen the existing cordial relationship with members of the fourth estate of the ream with a view to enhancing their duties of information gathering and dissemination of government activities in the state.

Governor Ugwuanyi in an address when receiving in audience, the Acting Zonal Director NTA Enugu Network Centre, Hadiza Abdula-Lawal and Management of the Centre who paid him a courtesy call in his office, noted that while his administration is gearing to achieve so much that the resources flow has grown so ‘lean as a result of economic meltdown in the country.

He added however that his administration has set up a powerful economic advisory committee to bail the state out of the ugly economic situation.

The state`s chief executive commended the NTA Enugu Network Centre for its support and solidarity to his administration in the areas of information gathering and dissemination, adding that the state government would continue to offer assistance and support to the station to enable it discharge its duties.

Earlier in an address, the Action Zonal Director informed the governor that she was in the Government House Enugu to familiarize with the governor, adding that she was posted to Enugu Station three months ago.

She pledged the readiness of the NTA, Enugu Centre under her to disseminate information on state government’s policies and programme.

She assured that her administration would build on the successes of her predecessor. She however, regretted that the edifice housing the Enugu Station is in a dilapidating state, adding that her regime would beautify the building and make it habitable.

She revealed that the centre would embark on programmes in lgbo languages and drama on government activities to be beamed to the people.

She also assured the governor of the preparedness of the NTA Enugu to draw up programmes showcasing government activities for the people to queue up on what government is doing with a view to eliciting feedback from the people.
