The leadership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) changed has hands as Dr Ken Opara has been sworn in as the new President/Chairman of Council of the Institute.
He took over from Dr. Bayo Olugbemi who has just completed his two years term of office.
The oath was administered by Hon Justice (Dr) Adesuyi Olateru-Olagbegi, Emeritus Judge of Lagos State High Court.
The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was represented by the Commissioner of Finance of the State, NDIC Directors, gurus of the Banking world, including a Representative of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), CEOs of all the leading banks in Nigeria and Commissioners of Finance of several States.
