Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase has has ordered postings of new Commissioners of Police , to Lagos, Rivers and Ogun States, and some other Force Headquarters formations across the country.
In a press release by CSP Abayomi Shogunle, the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, Thursday, the police command said the move was in line with its determination to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture in the affected states.
While CP Ajani Fatai Owoseni becomes the new Lagos police commissioner, CP Chris Ezike assumes the position at the Rivers State command. The Ogun State police command will be controlled by CP Abdulmajid Ali, just as Mr. Dan Bature becomes CP, Intelligence FCIID Headquarters, Abuja.
Mr Valentine U. Ntomchukwu is now the CP, Admin Department of Logistics & Supply, FHQ, Abuja, while Hyelasinda Kimo Musa becomes the CP, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FCIID, Force Headquarters, Abuja. Kayode C. Aderanti is now the CP, Admin Dept of Operations, FHQ, Abuja; E.J Ibine assumes the post of CP, Ports Authority, Eastern Command; and Ogbusua Aja Oleh is now the CP Provost, FHQ, Abuja
“It is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations,” Arase stated.
