The Governing Board, Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru in Kebbi State, has approved the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Rakson Muhammad as the new Vice Chancellor of the institution for a five year tenure.
Breaking the news in Kebbi, the image maker of the University, Abdulaziz Yusuf Bazata said, the Governing Board conducted interview for the vacant seat following which Professor Rakson Muhammad emerged as the Vice Chancellor.
The University’s image maker said the new Vice Chancellor has been a professor of Animal Science for over 30 years and has also been in the university system for over three decades.
Continuing, Abdulaziz said the new VC who is to serve for five years was before his appointment, the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture at the University.
He further disclosed that the Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru has also appointed Mr. Abdulrasheed Atanda Ahmed as the University’s Bursar.
Before Atanda’s appointment, he was the Deputy Bursar, University of Ilorin and has accounting experience of over 30 years.
