Igbo Catholic Community, Newark, New Jersey, United States celebrates

The Igbo Catholic Community Church (ICC), of the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, United States, has held its 2015 Thanksgiving Harvest and Bazaar.

The event, which Monsignor Anselm Nwaorgu, Ph.D, Administrator of ICC, said was an occasion “to thank God for His many blessings” upon members of the ICC as individuals, families and as a community, was, indeed, an occasion for profuse thanks to God Almighty and opportunity for the community to continue to build upon the solid foundation that they have already erected.

Several members of the community were specially celebrated at the joyful occasion. Dr. Mrs. Stella Ngozi Korieocha ‘Star Lady’ was honoured as “The Mother of the Day, ”Rev. Fr. Peter Iwuala was honoured as “Priest of the Day” while Mr. Sunday and Mrs Rita Ohia were honoured as “Couple of the Day.”

Sir Charles Uche Egeonu (KPC) was honoured as “Patron of the Day,” Mr. Austin Nwankwo “Father of the Day,” Dr. & Mrs Iwuozo Obilo were honoured as “Chairman of the Day,” Lady Esther Ohen, “Matron of the Day,” Rev. Sr. Felicia Oti “Sister of the Day” and Ms Kosi Ekweghariri “Young Adult of the Day.”

An array of distinguished members of ICC participated in the colourful event. Among them Rev. Dr. Eustace Edomobi, Rev. Fr. Longinus Ugwuegbulem, Rev. Fr. Erasmus Okere, Rev. Fr. Albert Nzeh, Rev. Fr. Nnaemeka Onyemaobi, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Agu and Rev. & Mrs Emereuwa Anyanwu.

Others are Chief Mrs Matilda Ibe, Chief Sir Linus Ebere and Lolo Lady Esther Ebere, Sir Emmanuel & Lady Victoria Oguh, Architect Linus Korieocha, Eziada Caroline Ibezim, Mr. Jude & Mrs Uzunma Nkama, Dr. & Mrs Ignatius Njoku, Mr & Mrs Eugene Oguh, High Chief Sir Titus Brown Osuagwu (Nmagha) & Lolo Oluchi Osuagwu (Akwa Aja) and Mr & Mrs Jonas Ezea.

Also involved were Ezinwanne Colette Iheanacho, Mr. George Ibe, Chief Sir Innocent & Lolo Lady Martina Omekadiya Enwere, Hon. Elliot & Mrs Michelle Isibor, Chief Sir & Lady Peter Hallis Ogbonna, Dr. & Mrs Chidi Eke, Marcel & Celin Okoro, Chif & Lolo Nathan Chukwuocha, Chief Sir & Lady Ben Onwuegbu, Sir Vitus & Lady Juliana Eleanya, Sir & Lady Cyril Amadiegwu, Chief Mike & Lolo Promise Unegbu (Okeosisi), Chief Sir & Lady Ben Onwuegbu, Mr & Mrs Cyrillus Agu, Chief Dike & Lolo Maureen Ogbuehi, Barrister Law Onyema Ibe and Adam and Ijeoma Nnoli.

There was also Dr Sir V.O & Nneoma Lady Perp. Elenwune, Prince & Princess Clement Ojinnaka Africa, Kelechi & Zubechi Mbalewe, Adadiorama Chinwe Njoku, Mr & Mrs Francis Egolum, the Meremikwu family, Hon. Emma Ibe, Hon. Innocent & Veronica Okemezie, Chief Sir & Lady Lolo Hyacinth & Francisca Ibeneme and Mr & Mrs Alex Nnorom among very many other eminent personalities.
