Ijaw Diaspora Council hosts Flood Relief Project, Monday, November 28, 2022, in Yenagoa

Prof. Mondy Gold, President, Ijaw Diaspora Council (IDC)

The Ijaw Diaspora Council (IDC) will be hosting a Flood Relief Project on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Trendy Guest House, Winners Road, Etegwe, Isaac Boro Expressway, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The event, which starts at 12:00 Noon, will have in attendance the Who is Who in the Ijaw Nation, all rallying to bring relief to Ijaw people who have been very seriously affected by the disastrous floods of this year, 2022.

Almost all of Bayelsa State was submerged by the floods, with several lives lost, staggeringly humongous amounts of property destroyed and very many people rendered homeless and currently sheltering in Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP) camps.

United States of America (USA)-based Professor Mondy Gold is President of IDC, which describes itself as “the voice of Ijaw Diaspora for a united Ijaw Nation.”

The IDC is inviting all people of goodwill to the programme as the task of catering to the Ijaw people who have been adversely affected by the devastating floods is far beyond what governments can handle.
