Kanayo.O. Kanayo bags Chieftaincy title today in Mbaise, Imo State


Renowned Nollywood actor, Kanayo. O. Kanayo Esq. (MFR) is today, December 29, 2021 being celebrated in his place of birth with the conferment on him of a chieftaincy title.
His traditional ruler, Eze J. Amaefule, JP, is recognising him for his exploits in the entertainment industry and for having done the community, Ndigbo, Nigeria and the black race proud with his legendary acting prowess and community impact.
The event takes place at Oboama, Ezinihitte Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, and the thespian, who bagged a law degree from the University of Abuja in 2018 and passed out of the Nigerian Law School, Abuja in 2020 is inviting relatives, friends and associates to the event.
Born as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere on March 1, 1962, K.O.K as he is popularly called has won numerous prizes for his exploits in the movie world, including Best Actor in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Award for his performance in the movie “Family Battle.”
Starting off his career in 1992 in a leading role in the film “Living in Bondage,” Kanayo. O. Kanayo has gone on to feature in over 100 films including some blockbusters.
He has also ventured into politics, contesting twice to represent his constituency in the Nigerian House of Representatives.
Dignitaries, including Nollywood greats are expected to grace his chieftaincy conferment ceremony today.
