King of Morocco sends message of sympathy, solidarity, to former President Donald Trump over assassination attempt

 The King of Morocco, His Majesty King Mohammed VI has sent a message of sympathy and solidarity to former President of the United States of America (USA), Mr. Donald Trump following an assassination attempt on him on Saturday evening during a political campaign rally.

In the message, the Moroccan Sovereign said that he was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the “appalling assassination attempt at the campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.”

While Trump was addressing the rally, shots suddenly rang out, he clutched his right ear and went down to take refuge behind the rostrum while Secret Service agents rushed up to surround and take him off the stage with blood on his ears and face.

Reports have it that one other person in the crowd was shot dead while some others were injured, while the shooter was shot dead.

His Majesty King Mohammed, in his message, said he was relieved to learn that Trump is safe, while strongly condemning the heinous attack and all forms of political violence.

He also wishes the former US President, who is the Republican Party Presidential Candidate “a speedy recovery so that you may continue to serve your great nation.”

“My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mr. President, your family, and the innocent victims of this deplorable act,” the message concluded.
