Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State and North West Coordinator of the Atiku /Obi 2019 presidential campaign has  called on Nigerians to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as president of Nigeria in next year’s election to ensure the transformation of the country, especially in the areas of education and agricultural development.
Speaking at the flag off of the presidential campaign in Sokoto with a historical record crowd of PDP members and supporters in state, Tambuwal said PDP would run an all inclusive government with priority to the youths as well as drive the nation’s economy to prosperity.
Tambuwal described Atiku as a political icon and democrat who the country was yearning for as best choice to take over from current President Muhammadu Buhari in May, 2019.
He explained that when given the mandate, Atiku would transform the nation’s agriculture, education, create jobs for the country’s teeming youths and ensure respect for the rule of law through the advancement of the principle of the tenets of separation of powers where independence would be encouraged for national stability.
Adding his voice, Taraba state governor, Darius Ishaku said the PDP governors have resolved to mobilise their people to actively ensure the victory of the party at all levels.
Former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido said the realities of the moment was that security, poverty, socio-economic transformation were at the lowest ebb due to bad governance.
Former Minister of Special Duties, Tanimu Kabiru Turaki said PDP would make things better when voted to power, while former Kaduna state governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi said he was optimistic of an Atiku victory at the centre.
Former Niger state governor, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, on his part, urged PDP members to ensure their votes go to Atiku.
