The Mbaise Policy Roundtable (MPR), a non-governmental organization with offices in Owerri Imo State, Nigeria and New York, USA, will convene a Zoom conference on Agriculture to educate and empower the unemployed and underemployed youths particularly of Mbaise, Imo State and indeed the South East of Nigeria.
The purpose of this ground breaking conference is to provide participants with the knowledge know how and skills to improve their quality of life, through Agriculture. After the conference, participants who provide emails will receive Certificate of Participation.
The Conference will hold on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 5:30PM-8PM Nigeria Time/12:30 PM-3PM ET (US/Canada) via Zoom, meeting ID 97585703109, passcode 187934.

The Theme of the conference is: “21st Century Skills and Resources to Leverage Agriculture Value Chain.”
The panel of speakers consist among the best to do justice to the theme of the Conference, and add significant value to the participants.
The Keynote speaker is Dr John Kennedy Opara, PhD., OFR, JP, the chairman/CEO of CSS Group of Companies, one of the largest mechanized Agribusiness in Africa, majoring in Agriculture, construction, food processing and packaging, Aviation and Renewable energy.
Other speakers are Nigeria’s former Minister for Agriculture and the conference Chairman, Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh; former two-times Minister for Education and Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency, Professor Viola Onwuliri; former Vice Chancellor of Unizik Awka, Professor Joe Ahaneku; and former Imo State Senior Special Assistant for Agriculture Prince Victor Mbalewe.
The program will be moderated by Dr. Chinemerem Dan Onwuliri, will be hosted by the IT director for MPR, Chief Joachim Nwogu and with Dr Jude Iheoma, Chief Program Director as co-host.
According to a statement from MPR, the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Opara was selected based on strategic alignment of the CSS Group and MPR. On their Facebook page it was reported that “CSS Farms has trained over 2,800 youths over the last 2 years, we impact, empower and challenge young men and women to redeem themselves from poverty and become ambassadors of change in Nigeria. We will eradicate poverty and hunger…TOGETHER!”
“This statement encapsulates our primary motivation for this conference,” said MPR.
MPR, led by US-based Professor Eddie Oparaoji, is the premier pre-eminent Mbaise Public Policy and Business Advisory Council in the World, focused entirely on the development of Mbaise and Imo State, through the facilitation of financial and in-kind resources, private investments and private public partnerships.
MPR is situated to liaise, partner, and/or collaborate with international entities, the Imo State Government and agencies, and the private sector to produce and advance policies that will fast track Mbaise and Imo State development to a first world status.
