Mike Ozekhome, Daniel Bwala, others speak at NBA, Bwari Branch, Abuja Law Week

Celebrated legal practitioner and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Mike Ozekhome, will be the Lead Speaker at the 2021 Law Week of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Bwari Branch (Capital Branch).

The theme of the program, which holds on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 2:00PM (WAT) is “Post COVID Realities for Nigerian Lawyers: Curbing Insecurity Challenges and Fostering National Development.”

Chief Ozekhome (SAN) will be speaking on the topic, “Examining the Operation of the Doctrine of Separation of Powers in Modern Day Nigeria” at the event which holds at the Gadis Event Centre, Bwari Road, Opposite Government Girls Secondary School, Dutse, Abuja.

Other confirmed speakers/panelists for the hybrid event (online-zoom and onsite) are Barrister Daniel H. Bwala, Special Adviser to the Deputy Senate President on Legal and Constitutional Matters, Hon. Justice Halilu Yusuf of the High Court of Justice, FCT Abuja, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), a Human Rights Activist, Hon. Femi Odeahan, Chairman, Customary Court, Customary Court of Appeal, FCT Abuja, Jonathan Gunu Taidi, a past General Secretary of the NBA and Comrade Deji Adeyanju, a Human Rights Activist.

Barrister Bwala, a popular Abuja-based legal luminary and an expert on constitutional matters, especially as it relates to separation of powers, and who has been at the centre of the constitution review process, which is being chaired by the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, will be joining the program and speaking via zoo from London, UK, where he is presently.
